GBN’s fleet investment improving customer service and reducing CO2 emissions
Over the last few months GBN has continued to update its vehicle fleet acquiring a range of new vehicles to add flexibility to our service provision. This has included the procurement of a drawbar trailer with the capacity for two skips and a 2015 cross rail compliant skip vehicle.
This adds to our existing fleet of cross rail compliant vehicles which are all fitted with safety devices including; blind spot proximity sensors, under-run guards and warning alerts for cyclists.
Suzanne Clark, GBN’s Business Manager says “Our investment in new vehicles continues to demonstrate our commitment to providing excellent customer service. With the new drawbar trailer and lorry, we can now service 3 bins at one site. Our customers will benefit from less disruption with only one waste collection visit needed and we will reduce our CO2 emissions by doing fewer journeys”.
