Case Study: The Mall, Wood Green, North London

Project summary

GBN Services has been providing a complete waste management service to The Mall Wood Green, a large shopping centre and residential complex in Wood Green, North London, for the last 20 years. One of the largest shopping centres within the North Circular, The Mall Wood Green has over 100 retail shops and 45 market stalls, and receives on average over 220,000 customers a week.

The Strategy

We currently provide a compaction unit which is emptied on multiple occasions each week and collects over 50,000 tonnes a year. All waste is sorted at our Materials Recycling Facility where recyclables are segregated and non-recyclable waste is sent for refuse-derived fuel (RDF).

Proven Results

Held on the door step of Buckingham Palace, this prestigious event required the highest level of service. Our commitment to service excellence ensured that the site was handed back cleared and cleaned to the highest standard within the agreed timescale.
