Higgins Construction Plc is one of the largest family-owned construction companies in South East England and has been working with GBN for over 20 years. GBN currently handles waste from 14 of Higgins Construction’s sites across London and the South East, providing waste removal via skips, drums, wheeled bins and the safe removal of hazardous waste. Material is brought back to GBN’s network of six depots for recycling, where GBN draws up detailed reports.

The relationship has enabled Higgins to divert more material from landfill—and to save money.

Mr Smith explains: “GBN’s professional ethos in terms of landfill diversion and the recycling reports, provided on a monthly basis, means it is easy for us to analyse our waste streams and enables us to set better waste strategies at the start of a project to save money on the removal of waste.”
