GBN hosts ‘Wear it Pink’ charity day
GBN Services has successfully hosted its ‘Wear it Pink’ charity event, in order to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
On Friday 19th October, drivers, pickers and office staff sported pink t-shirts and hi-vis coloured vests, which were also provided by GBN.
A range of exciting events were held across all GBN depots, which included sweepstakes, raffles and bake sales, where staff had a chance of getting their hands on a selection of goodie giveaways.
“A sweepstake was held at each depot and everyone that won the money put it back into the pot,” said Karen Smith, Business Development Manager at GBN Services. “Raffle prices included alcohol, chocolates and many other delicious treats.
“Hailey and myself took the raffle round a few depots so we managed to sell lots of tickets!”
Thanks to the team’s valiant efforts and generosity, GBN Services managed to raise over £3,000 across its network – an impressive amount we are very proud of.
We would like to thank everyone for giving generously and doing their part to raise awareness for such a worthy cause.
With Christmas Jumper Day soon approaching, we are hoping to get involved by showing off our festive knitwear and making more donations towards GBN’s near and dear charities.
