Community corner
Representatives from GBN supported the recent ‘Tour de Waltham Forest’ charity bike ride. The event was held on the 24th of June, a lovely Saturday afternoon, and attracted over 650 riders. The ride saw participants take part from across the age range helped by the option to ride 5, 10, 15 or 27 miles.
Representing GBN were David Thompson, Chairman of RVL Holding (parent company to GBN), Natalie Davis PA to David and Garry Hobson (GBN Managing Director) who donned their cycle helmets to work up a sweat and finish the Tour in good time!
GBN proudly sponsored the event, supplying a £300 bike voucher for the race winner (via a local Waltham Forest bike store) and supplied lots of gifts in the goodie bag for every participant who finished the race.
“Everyone’s a winner today, we all got some exercise, and there’s been a lovely atmosphere with a real community feel. And, we’re delighted to have GBN’s name supporting such a great community event, and raising money for a wonderful charity,” said David.
