Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need permission from the local authority when hiring a skip?
Yes, and we wil do this for you. The council will charge a small fee which is within the price we charge you. They issue a licence which is valid for 1 month.
How do I know what size skip I will need?
You can call us for advice or refer to our size and price guide:

Do you offer a waste disposal service for builders and contractors?
Yes we do as we are a licenced and Registered Waste Carrier company.
What if I cannot get a skip licence?
If your council refuses a licence - which is rare - we can come along with a skip and our driver will wait while you load it up.
How long can I keep the skip for?
The normal Skip Hire period is 2 weeks but this can be extended to 4 weeks depending on availability.
How much can I put in the skip?
You must not load the skip to a level higher than the top.
Is there anything I cannot put into a skip?
Asbestos, batteries, tyres, fridges and freezers are not allowed to be loaded onto the skip.
What access do I need to provide?
As the vehicles delivering to your house are LGV's and rather large, please make sure that there is sufficient access to allow it in/out safely. If you are unsure, please contact us and we can provide you with the approximate dimensions required.
Is my waste recycled?
We do aim to make sure that at least 80% of our skips are sent to a MRF (Material's Recycling Facility) or our own recycling facilities and anything that can be recovered will be processed for recycling.
