About GBN Services

GBN Services was incorporated in November 1986, initially as a bulk haulage operator moving bulk waste from various transfer stations up and down the country. Following this, it was then a natural progression into the skip hire sector, growing year by year. We have expanded our service areas and increased our vehicle fleet size accordingly.

As the landfill tax was implemented, we began exploring the various recycling opportunities, and after much consideration decided to embark on a timber reclamation and recycling operation. This was an immediate success and we are one of only four timber recyclers within the London area; recycling some 10,000 tons of timber per annum, thus, preserving precious landfill space.

In September 2001 we opened our Basildon depot. This gave our existing customers a better service in the Essex area as well as acquiring valuable new local business. This has steadily grown and is now the site of our fully licensed authorised treatment facility for the de-pollution and destruction of end-of-life vehicles. This is DVLA registered enabling us to issue certificates of destruction at point of sale, and free of charge.

May 2005 saw the acquisition of a new depot in Southgate, North London, which has provided us with the experience of running daily rubbish collection services via wheelie bins, as well as access to a ferrous and non-ferrous metals recycling facility.

In July 2006, we acquired a new waste transfer facility in the Southend area to provide increased services to the Southend unitary authority region and the general public. With this acquisition we are now firmly established along the Thames corridor in Essex and London.

Between our depots we now operate over 40 skip and rolonof  vehicles, and 1,500 skips are sited within London and Essex.

Our main market is in construction waste working with most of the top housing and commercial developers. We are fully certificated as you can been see below and are fully committed to improving our standards via ISO9001:2000 and ISO14001:2004 certification. [roll over each for a larger view]
